D.O.C.U.M.E.N.T.A.R.Y

Like '' WOW'' Documentary eyhhhhhh!!!!

So , We have to divide into groups to this project and yeah, it takes quite a long time to finish it and tell you what? WE DID finish it. This documentary is all about the life & context of an artist/musician/singer/designer and etc.  It was really hard to find someone or a group of people and either they do not have all the knowledge to know everything about their work. But, in the end we finally found three people we could interview with. I had so many people in mind and i never give up trying . Well, lets enjoy the journey of DOCUMENTARY now yeah?

First up, a while a go, our class had a trip to ''URBANSCAPES''.  I heard a lot about '' URBANSCAPES'' & this was my first time going there. Urbanscapes is the first and only all-day ‘user-generated’ creative arts festival in the Klang Valley. As a mission statement, Urbanscapes aims to pull together communities and participants from the fields of music, the arts, design, film and other creative disciplines under a single banner to showcase the best of the local scene and beyond. The music spread is an awesome one with today’s line-up headlined by singer-songwriter Yuna. Other highlights on stage today include Tenderfist, Narmi, Love Me Butch, Narmi, Charlie Lim, Guba, Love/Comes, Enterprise, Darren Ashley, Salammusik, Pastel Lite, Dangerdisko and loads more.

The rest of the day’s stage activities will be filled up by The Trees and The Wild, Mini Compo, LapSap, OJ Law, Impatient Sisters, Twilight Actiongirl, Francis Wolf, Free Deserters, Muck, Sphere and more.

SOO, we ended up interviewing '' TWILIGHT ACTION GIRL'' as i mentioned it above. It came to a surprise that they actually spin at my favourite club ; BARSONIC @ ZOUK. One of the main DJ in the group is Calvin.  Most of the song he plays are indie songs and some jazz here and there. They were so cool and so hippie i must say. They accommodate with us really well and it was not that '' awkward''. As a DJ he compiles his favourites and plays it to the public. After everything, we had this feeling that it wasn't good enough so, we tried again with another person.
Next up,

'' HEBE''

The owner of HEBE owns  an accessory shop at the underground bridge connecting The Curve to Ikano Power Centre. Her name is Vivian , btw. Basically, she creates and designs her own accessories such as hairband,  earrings and all the girly stuff!  She was kinda shy , but she tried her very best to  demonstrated on how to make a brooch with zips, needle and thread. Even there is a bit of communication problem because she is KOREAN. But hey, everything went quite smoothly. Crafting was her hobby since young, but because of her talent, the public responded to her products so she expanded her business.

'' YENJI CLAY ''

YENJI CLAY is situated at the highest floor @ IKANO POWER CENTRE. Yenji clay owns a clay shop and also conducts classes to his students to achieve their dreams in their area of interests. Mr. Chris was so kind to bring us around and showed us his talented clays done by his students. Every student had their own specific uniqueness and talent. Everything that they did was so real, significant, and perfect. It is a tough job but they liked it.

SOOOO, Mr charles said that this wasn't a proper interview. There were no contextual behind it. After all the editing and hard work we put in, it was inappropriate for our documentary. Everything went wrong, but we learn from our mistakes dont we ?

Moving on, after thoroughly finding numbers of famous artists , they weren't free and was too caught up with things. In the end, we found an OIL PAINTER ARTIST from an award art academy '' CLAZ'ROOM''.

*tadaaaaaaaaa*

To cut the long story short, we wanted to interview Jin, but Jin told us to interview his colleuge  ''NING''because she knew a lot about the history of oil painting , the background and the meaning behind it. & she was gladly and delightful to help us!

Let me tell you more about '' CLAZ'ROOM''

The Claz’room Academy of Media Art is one of the most recently established art schools in Malaysia. Located at the vibrant and rapidly developing township of Damansara Perdana, Claz’room Academy of Media offers a wide range of courses in the arts for people from all walks of life who would like to learn the basics to advance techniques in art.
The Claz’room Academy of Media Art is specifically catered to young adults as well as those who are working as they provide full and part time course and short courses too. The academy provides the best state-of-the-art facilities and premises that offers a conducive environment for the students to fully focus on the learning process.

Ning her partner Jin, runs the business. Ning is currently in her early 20's and she's one of the people who established 'Claz'room' to hone the skills of those artists out there who need training. Ning  began to pursue this career at the young age of 16. After getting inspired by her seniors and her teachers were encouraging her to pursue her hobby towards oil painting, and she finally found her dreams. I am so amaze with her effort and hard work that she put throughout her life and she never stops chasing her dreams.

To know more about her and her business , lets watch the interview shall we? :)

enjoy! xoxo
